Q1.What should be considered when selecting electric hoists?

Please refer to THE MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC HOIST APPLICATIONS AND SELECTION DIAGRAM on Page 7 of the Hoists General Catalog, and select based on the following:

  1. Maximum capacity of loads to be lifted: Determine the maximum capacity after considering the possibility of lifting temporary loads such as factory equipment.
  2. Determine the durability of the crane (hoist).
Note: Equipment durability can be improved by maintenance and inspections such as routine inspections and annual inspections, and replacement of parts.
  3. Load distributions during operation: Significantly affects selection of equipment durability
E.g. 1: Crane that always lifts specific loads
E.g. 2: Crane that lifts a variety of loads
  4. Refer to the horizontal axis and the vertical axis of the diagram for the durability of the crane (hoist) and Load distributions during operation respectively to determine your hoist.

Q2.When we would like to arrange a consultation, or if a fault occurs, where should we contact?

If your equipment was installed as a crane, please contact the crane manufacturer. If you purchased a hoist as a single unit, contact the distributor.

Q3.How can we purchase service parts?

Contact the seller you purchased your hoist from and order the parts you want. Please make sure to provide the hoist type and serial number as well.
The information will prompt a quick response.

Q4.What are the advantages of using inverter hoist?

In brief, the advantages are:

  1. Soft starting and soft stopping reduce brake disk wear and improve component durability.
  2. Shocks as well as loads on wire ropes are reduced. The replacement cycle may be extended.
  3. Since the Inverter hoist doesn't require inching operations, it is unnecessary for high-skilled workers to perform positioning operations.
  4. Switching from low speed to high speed and high speed to low speed can be performed smoothly, and it gives the operator more leeway.

Q5.Is it difficult to set the inverter hoist at maintenance?

No, it isn't. The inverter is designed specifically for electric hoists, and doesn't require complex settings.
When you open the cover of the control box, you can find setting buttons (blue, black, white and red).
The procedures are printed on the inside cover.

Q6.Is it enabled for using the Inverter hoist outdoors?

The enclosure is a simplified outdoor type (conforming to the JIS C 4004 drip-proof type).
It can be used for outdoor work if you pay attention to the following points.

  • Please store it under a roof (rainproof cover) when not in use.
  • It can be used in light rain (rain that does not bother the operator).
